Keihin FCR 35mm flatslides rubbing on tank

I have noticed the throttle cable mechanism bracket at the right hand side of the carbs is rubbing away at the petrol tap spigot on my roadster tank. Anyone had same problem and come up with clever fix?

You may need to check the padding under the tank. New padding may lift the tank enough to lear the petcocks.
Without a picture I am just guessing.
 
The CnW web site mentions that some tanks might do that. I think either raising the tank up a bit or perhaps a different style fuel tap might work.
 
Yep, it's a bit tight in there. The standard rubber boots between the manifold and carb are quite flexible. This and the tight clearance, over a rough road at slow speed, resulted in a crack in the carb top of my FCRs (hitting on the frame of my centrally mounted oil tank 750).

I replaced the rubber boots between the manifold and carb with slightly shorter high temp hose. Gave a little more clearance and no problems since.

I had the
 
I ran into the same problem and I simply added some of the rubber insulators left over from the shorai
Battery...they’re great for that and tons of other things to,easy fix
