The whole concept is super cool . From my limited brain recall , the early ones had bearing failure issues . Spinning up so fast and no owner would lube them as life was cheap for speedsters back when . I think the later model had better bearings but finding/ cross referencing new ones was a challenge . Barry Huron here in the GTA is the only person I know who actually drives with one on his purple framed machine . His Lake fuel system spews/ drips gasoline before start up , but that's the Lake . Fun .

Yeah - but, even though I love the engine, it does have a marginally (?) weak crankshaft, so unless you go the whole hog and put in a stronger one-piece crank +++, then you are on the road to sadness in my view.

Well isn't that what it's all about the more we add for a faster more powerful Norton is to spend more money to make them out last the changes and think about the people who first did these upgrades and finding out the hard way of all the faults they encounter on the way of more HP and the improvements made for stronger bottom ends, light weight piston, better con rods etc etc and the money made for selling these major upgrades as long as you have deep pockets to keep throwing at our madness before they come and take us away in a straight jacket.
Rob how much money did you throw into your CWN Commando and the wait to get it, we all get bitten by the madness.

Baz do you have it and if you do are you planning on using it, be fun to try one, but installing a super charger and not use it to its full HP it produces be just a waste of time if you going to just ride it around the streets.
Be good for pulling wheelies through all the gears using the power, be OK on a play bike could be fun.

I have the same Drouin pictured in the video. I got it from Jimbo. He got it from Bruce McPhearson the origin owner. The modifications are listed on Dyno Daves website " Atlantic Green:" We have not tried it out yet due to too many projects. But we will. And yes, I will beat the living shit out of it. I have a couple sets of spare cases.
