Very interesting will be keeping a eye on this one and those brakes, you will need something better than the original front brake, you will need them to slow you down from the HP it will bring.
Was at a bike show once and a Norton in the show had one fitted, asked the owner what it like and he said its more for show now, he took it for a few rides but in his own words "its sacred the sh.t out of me".

The stock brake works pretty good compared to other Commandos I have ridden . This will not be for show only ;)

I use to say the same thing till my stock front brake tried to kill me let me down in a big way without any warning, as for the owner of the SC Norton he was a older guy so prob only rode slow lol and I am sure you will have fun on it ;), there is a SC kit that is made to fit my Triumph 1200 Thruxton, if I had a spare $7.5K I would be temped, from a 95hp to 157hp now that would be something, but rear tyres cost so much these days o_O

@jimbo - have you done anything to the motor in prep for adding the Drouin?

(BTW - Might be wise to put some tie-downs on the bike to the stand.)

Nice that it all works after installation. Do you have a RH10 head? I'm wondering what diameter the Drouin manifold is, 30mm or 32mm?
Did your exhaust valve covers grow fins when you installed it?
Regarding the front brake, sure it can be "improved" with m/c diameter change, braided hose and better pads. Repeated hard braking will induce fade and worse. True even with stock Commandos ridden aggressively.

Hi Jimbo , looking cool , so as far as tuning the carb will you dyno , a cheap alternative might be to make up some short stubs for the end of the headers and temp move the mufflers back , weld in a 18x1.5 bung and tune with an AEM( these react quick and have about 4 modes) or Innovate MTX-L air fuel gauge . Cheers .
