My 961 needed new throttle cables, brake hose, clutch hose, different brackets for the brake and clutch master cylinders, handle bars, handle bar mounts and the top yoke machining for handle bar mounts.
See pics below, pretty good compromise between style and comfort. Drop ‘em for fun days and raise ‘em if going any distance. They had about 3 inch of up and down adjustability and seemingly infinite adjustability of angles etc.
Once the cables and hoses are lengthened , David can alway swap back and leave the longer hoses/cables on. This is what Richard-7 has done. If it was my bike I would make it as easy to ride it as necessary . This way I will ride it more and I can go longer and further . The look with higher bars will be somewhat speed triple like and whats not to like about that. I say go for it David !
