Thanks so much Bob. Being clueless which 2 seals of the 9 options listed should I get. Brantford Ontario is not too far away for the local distributor and I go fishing there for crappie every spring. Peter.
Was half asleep, Crappies are in Bradford in spring. The Grand has specific fishing zones and has trout ,bass, pickerels (to you walleyes). Grand is grand for carps too. The distributor for the seals is in Brantford. My boo boo.

Heck, to keep dirt out, just wrap the ball & socket ends in vinyl electric tape. It's under the tank.
We won't see it.
I hit them with chain lube whenever I have the tank off.
No getting around it, they are bound to wear out from the vibration.
Heim joints are more durable in low speed applications.
Even if worn out, they are still going to move only 10 to 30 thousandths of an inch and that much clearance will still check the side to side motion of the head far more than those stock/dumb rubber dealios.

You can try using Vulcanizing Tape which will not be affected with oils you apply on the joints or just get some Heat-Shrink Tubing that is big enough to go over the joint after a shrink fit it should be good to go.
Cheers,
