cruise control

I like cruise control on my touring bikes with relativly high horsepower as it allows me to keep the speed on the freeway below reckless/go to jail speeds. Usually set it to about 83 mph.

On my 08 Kaw Concours I installed audiovox automotive cruise control and it works quite well. It requires a lot of hardware and it would not be very sanitary on a bike without a lot of fairing to hide the parts. It is a vacuum actuator system and needed a vacuum acumulator and actuator both about 4 in in diameter. Don't know how you would hide that away on a norton. It also really needs a bellcrank to pull so it would probably need a custom carb setup.

I do not use my Norton's for long freeway jaunts so I would not consider this for mine but mention it because it is theoretically possible and has been done by a lot of the long distance sport tourers as a retrofit on their bikes.
