I agree geographics has a huge impact. Climate and transportation, Californians use cars and have wide open spaces, compared to New York. March 2, NY mayor told citizens to go on with their lives as normal. Here in Michigan, my last trip out for beer and pizza at a micro brewer was March 15. Next day, March 16, the state closed all bars, restaurants, ect.. California followed suit March 17. New York "city" shut the like March 17.

NYC is unlike any other major metropolitan city in the United States, there is no comparison.
People are pointing fingers at the federal gov. because it has the power to help yet refuses to, meanwhile more will die.
No offense to Michigan but shutting down NYC is again, not comparable. This is the financial capital of the country, if not the world.

TDS again. While Trump was never groomed for office as was Obama and his twin, Buttigieg, I enjoy knowing Trump came to office wealthy unlike Obama who gained his wealth while in office, as do most representatives

Trump gained his wealth by getting bailed out of bankruptcy by Russian oligarchs (including Putin) not long before he entered politics and then for some strange reason became an admirer of totalitarian dictators whom he envies for their unilateral decisions and elimination of opposition. I hope you enjoy that, too.

I am aware. Today, US deaths are at 25/million while Italy and Spain are ten X's our numbers. Hopefully their numbers are flattening and I too fear we're closing fast as US population is huge in comparison.
I hope we prove the models wrong.
I agree with you, utter shameful however I fear but cannot see the future results. Time will tell. I do know now, as our country refuses to come together, our people suffer. Divided for years now, having observed virulent, criminal acts of opposition towards this administration, outside influence on our elected officials has been never so clear. From the onset, prior to winning or taking office, the word "resist" describes it best. G and find or create any opposition available and use to attack and destroy. Controlling powers over media, Judicial and Intelligence branches, bias permitting lies and abuse of powers. Fault is to be shared by all in government. Russia, Dossier, Ukraine, on and on. Hurling rants of racism and xenophobia because of imposed China travel restrictions. Aid package to the people hog tied for days because of agenda, unrelated pork. The opposition is not about or for the people but for the change of this republic

I seriously doubt Trump’s claim of wealth. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump was underwater. Negative wealth. If Trump had the wealth he claims to have he’d have his tax returns posted on the internet 24/7.
He has maintained the illusion of wealth by a Ponzi scheme with banks and lenders. He is well known to borrow heavily for his projects. He can no longer borrow from ANY US bank. The lenders he deals with, Russian oligarchs and European banks known for laundering money, will gladly lend him money without collateralizing the loan. Quite easy to borrow more money than the cost of the project. The man has been a grifter for most of his life. Not only multiple huge bankruptcies for real estate projects, but many other failures. Trump Airlines, the New Jersey Generals, Trump University to name some off the top of my head. Even some of his symbols of wealth have been repossessed. Remember the yacht Trump Princess?

Just returned from local distillery that is making hand sanitizer , sanitizer is quite thin and comes in a quarter litre bottle that you just pour ... I thought maybe drenching some dried out handy wipes I found in wife’s Jeep and stored in heavy weight zip lock bags would be handy to keep in each vehicle ,if it does not evaporate , I use the same bags in ride season to drench microfibre cloth with glass cleaner for face shield and it stays good for a season in tank bag .... think my hand sanitizer set up might work ? ... they say clean hands and distancing best things we can do for ourselves besides just staying home .....

Whilst there is definitely more noise about the current President it is not unique - Obama also faced a lot of criticism and I recall during the first few months of his tenure there was a drive to prove he was not American and had terrorist ties, racism claims followed his lack of intervention in Charlottesville etc Bush also had his critics..., as I say, the issue with DT is that the noise is louder (greater technology gets the message out faster and louder) nor is it peculiar to the USA - it seems to be an unpleasant facet of the media towards whoever is in power, wherever they are elected. Probably a result of all our leaders being elected by less than 50% of those who vote - usually around 45%, factor in those eligible to vote who don’t and the leaders are elected by around 30% of those eligible to vote - leaving 70% who didn’t vote for whichever leader to be pissed off at everything they do

And who was one of the “deniers”? Donald J Trump. Said he had investigators in Hawaii with proof Obama was not born there. LIAR! LIAR! LIAR! So true, the old adage, “What’s goes around comes around”.
Just saw something interesting. Montana, which was COVID-19 free a couple of weeks ago now has 5 COVID-19 deaths and 252 COVID-19 cases. This shit is spreading like wild fire. It will continue to do so until either a vaccine is found or everyone is tested and those testing positive are completely isolated.

The latest news in Australia is the rate of increase of coronavirus infections has halved. However Australians might be much more compliant than Americans or Europeans. In a crisis, we tend to work together towards a common goal.
A lot has to do with leadership - if you lead, they will follow ? Leading by example is important in a democracy. However in wartime Australian officers don't lead from the front, they stay behind and plan well and leave the hard stuff to the non-coms

I am not defending Trump! I know he was one of the key players in trying to smear Obama - just trying to show that no matter who is in power now, wherever they are in the world, they are pissing off a large proportion of the people they “represent”
