Hi all,
I've been working on cleaning the 18 years of sludge and rust from my black fuel-tank.
In the process, I got some MEK on the black paint near the petcock bosses which removed the black paint when I wiped it with a rag.
Lo and behold ... the black paint that covers my tank comes off quite easily with the MEK (must be Enamel). Underneath is a fuel-proof layer of red
I really what looks like a candy-apple red, which I think is a stock color for the 1975 Commando (I need to research).
I think I'll strip the black to see what's underneath, and go with the red. It looks like it will be more fun than the black![Big Grin :D :D](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f600.png)
