I'm replacing my clutch hub bearing, and I happen to have 4 SKF# 6007-2RSJ bearings in stock at my store. Same bearing but grease lubed and sealed both sides. Any advantage/disadvantage to leaving one or both seals in rather than popping them out? The old bearing is pretty rattley and did not seem to be overly lubed when I pulled the clutch basket out. Just wondering how much lube (in my case ATF) actually makes it to the bearing.
Thanks

Hi Mike,
The primary belt kits all run sealed bearings in the clutch hub and it works great for them.

Since it's supposed to run "dry" anyway, leave the seals intact. It'll probably last better than hoping some ATF mist makes it up there. Nathan
