# 1. Sleeeeeve gear bushes. I'd bet most Commandos need THAT issue addressed. My new ones (2 ,and longer than original) tapped into place perfectly by freezing them first. Used a socket to drift em' into home. Slathered in 90 W. for a day to soak into bushes and they slurped it up good . Reassembly. They're probably worn out now simply because we brought up the subject. Also caught some (4 holy carps) this summer in a whirlpool of flooded Grand River. Pure exhilaration watching the line peeel off the reel to downriver freedoms. :)

Shim the clutch to match the crank sprocket at the faces of the teeth where the triplex chain rides.

Pic?
I run a belt so this will have to do.
Using the straight edge for this will also show if your gearbox needs to be squared up. These two operations need to be done at the same time.

Ah, I thought you were talking about the clutch stack. But yes, lining up the teeth be important too!

Thanks all for the posts and entertainment. The temp here in TO has dipped below 10 degrees C and that's my threshold for riding. Looks like the bikes are away until spring (*UGH* ~ I 'don't like' public transit.). Lots of winter projects to keep me going wtih some time to plan some warmer travel.
