Clockholder Finish

Does anyone know what the original finish is on the later black clockholders.
My left hand one took a bit of damage on a minor spill a while ago.
I can dress out the scrape marks but not sure what to use to match the original finish.
Is there anything out there in a spray can that comes close?

I think it is anodized isn't it? Seems like it would be difficult to match exactly and you would end up painting both to get a good match. You could sand it off and polish. I replaced mine with the earlier polished style as I much prefer the polished alloy look to the black.

If you mix flat Black and gloss Black in a 50/50 powder coat beads it comes out very close.

I'd say the finish was somewhere between matt and satin black?

Think I'll try the Halfords can route on both, if it end up looking naff I can always take the polishing option.

Hard black anodised. It is quite a job to remove, did mine years ago. Left the lugs black.
