Anyone know what kind of tumbling? I assume in a shaker with stones as I think drum tumbling might not end up with the desired effect. I happen to have a stone shaker at work that could be put to good use after I strip my cases, (engine and tranny). I also assume all holes are blanked , studs covered, etc. Would appreciate any details.

Thanks,
Will

Our shooting club uses a small concrete mixer to tumble clean, brass cases, with... walnut shells, dried corn or 'special' media.
Never thought of tumbling Norton cases. hmm worth a thought. Obviously baffles are already removed.
Have to propose that we need a bigger Tumbler...AC.

Boy, you OZ guys go over the top, concrete mixer for brass cleaning? I wonder how the Texans will top that one, rent a cement truck? They probably use enough brass there.

At my previous place of employment we had a big tumbler for de-burring stamped parts but I don't think the cases would do to well in it. At my new place of employment I have access to a Shaker that uses several sizes of pyramid shaped stone media that we use for removing bur and sharp edges from castings or fresh CNC parts and such. I think that this would work well.

I might have to throw a spare set of cases in next run and see how they turn out. I'm thinking all holes would need to be blanked, mating surfaces covered, studs capped to prevent the obvious. Would still like to here what others in the know have to say on the topic though.
