All but two of the Norton motors I've had apart, the cam bushings oil holes were not aligned with the case holes. Were they not installed at the factory right, or did they rotate ... who knows. Anyway, I usually just drill though them, no big deal. Now the brain fart. Though they were already lined up with this motor, I decided to "peen" the bushings ... so there would be no way they could turn; big freakin' mistake !!! This has caused both bronze bushings to now be out of round, can't even get the camshaft in. How can I fix this ??? Can I have them just reamed, or do I have to have new ones installed ??? Any and all advice is much appreciated.
