Hi folks,
I need direction with cable routes for clutch, throttle and choke on my 69S. i am running amals, stock bars and throttle side choke lever.

As always, thanks in advance and hope you all had good holidays.

Tom,
Believe me, it is not magic, I too worried about it, but they pretty much fell into place. If you look at the early brochures, it is pretty apparent. The clutch goes to the right side of the frame after it leaves the headlamp area and down by the oil tank. Pretty apparent. the front brake is a no brainer. The throttle goes straight down from the grip and along the left side of the central tube and along the central tube to the carbs after it splits. I didn't put it inside the headsteady, but it may have been there originally. Try to keep it towards the back to keep a high angle where it enters the carbs. Choke, the same as the carbs except it goes by the headlamp first. The Tach drive goes up between the headlamp and ring on the right, as well as the speedo on the left, and put a tie wrap on them just below the headlamp. Look closely at the 70 brochures.

If you really need pictures, I have the tank and seat off, so I can do that easily.

My '72 had the throttle and choke cables between the frame spine and the long spacers which go across the original head steady. There was wear (like it was completely gone) on the cable sheaths in that area which made the cable lube come out there. With the Dave Taylor steady I have now everything opens up.
