I have heard good things about Bruce’s work. I have Andy at Lund do mine, but he only lives 15 minutes away. I’m very satisfied with the four carbs he’s done for me. I have two more ready to drop off to him.

is bruce the triton (?) machining guy in Canada? if so he did the amals on my 72 Bonneville about 10 years ago and they still work nicely

Absolutely, I’ve Know Bruce for more than 30 years, does great work. He also does exhaust thread repairs.

At one point, he stopped taking U.S. work because customs screwed him over big-time. Glad to hear he's back in it because he does great work.

How does the price of resleeving compare with the price of a new pair of Amal Premiers? I recently replaced my sleeved Amals with a set of Premiers. I didn't do it because there were any problems with the originals, just wanted to do it! TBH, there isn't any difference that I can tell as far as how they operate but the adjustable float and the replaceable idle jet is a good thing. Of course, you can buy the adjustable float and install it in the old Amals. ;)

I wanted to give a good report on Bruce Chessell's re-sleeving work on Amals. HIs work is beautiful and his prices are righteous. He's the guy to fix your old Amals.

Linky/contact details please!

Bruce does excellent work. I have had 5 sets done by him.
Send it US postal service if coming from the States. UPS and other parcel carriers like to tag him for brokerage fees. Unless you want to pay extra. FYI. Contact him. He is a member of this forum. He will tell you how to ship it.
Cheers,
Thomas
