Not what I said. WHEN BLEEDING,...ie with bleeder screw open, the lever will pull all the way to the bar, the MC piston will travel further in the bore than when the system is sealed tight/properly bleed. This can potentially lead to damaged seal if the bore has corrosion/debris etc in the normally unswept area. Are you saying we should not use our brakes when necessary to do an emergency stop. I don't think so. If I have to stop in a hurry, I will. That comment is out of order.
It looks JUST like that!Is it this one? (Which will be no help to you, though, sorry!):

I have a 12mm bore in my m/cyl. I can just about pull my lever all the way back, but that is likely to lock the front wheel. The bore of my m/cyl will not corrode. However, I do know what you mean about the corrosion that occurs in the unused bores of steel or iron m/cyls. Have seen and experienced that a lot of times. I worked on cars, bikes and small engines all my life till I retired. Not what I said. With properely setup brake, you should never be able to pull lever fully to bar.
Update, I spoke with the gentleman at Morrie's place, (very nice guy) who had done the sleeving job for me.It looks JUST like that!
The way round that is to find out what KTM bike uses the same Brembo brake and order the KTM parts which will be Brembo. It sounds like trying to get Brembo seal kits, even my dealer wasn't allowed to stock or fit them.
This is how I got the parts for my own re-sleeved master cylinder.I'm not looking for something for nothing, and will gladly pay up for the correct parts.
FYI, pm'd Don and he says to ask a honda parts dealer for 13mm MC seal kits. He does not have a specific part number for his re-sleeve sets. Can also get more from him directly but shipping will be a pain. I'm more concerned about a future where Don longer supplies these....I've been wondering what to use as future replacement seals on my Madass supplied 13mm resleeve kit. Will have to ping him and find out if its just a standard seal kit for another brand.
Nope….no oil threads, please.thanks Alan, i literally got no more torque out of head it was all as by the book so thats done now, whats the best oil to use on motor ?

That's what he did say...but acknowledged shipping will be not cost effective from Philippines where he is.....
Or, failing that: "I sent you a PayPal request for $20, I'll mail out the seals."
It shouldn't be hard.
I had a similar problem. I got 12mm seals then made the master cylinder parts to suit. I wanted some spare 12mm seals about 2 years ago and the supplier I got them off, said he could not get any more. I spoke to our local motorcycle repair shop, and a week later he handed me a packet of 2 seals [ $20.00 ]. Haven't needed to use them yet but they are in my possession just in case.Update, I spoke with the gentleman at Morrie's place, (very nice guy) who had done the sleeving job for me.
He said no replacement rubbers were available, he had asked Al Miles, the maker of the kit.
I phoned Al Miles, left a message, he called me back. ( I was riding the Blue Ridge Parkway and took the call on my Sena)
We discussed what I was after, I explained that after 7 years of good service, I needed to refresh the master, and was told no. Won't sell me the parts. I explained that I am a professional mechanic.... no. I would have to ship the entire master cylinder across the country. I explained that riding season had just started here near the Arctic Circle () and I can't take the bike down.
We were both polite, professional & friendly toward one another.
I'm not looking for something for nothing, and will gladly pay up for the correct parts. Profit is NOT a dirty word.
But, no.... just no... is a bit offputting.
It seems things that should be easy, morph into time consuming rabbit holes.
Any suggestions?
