We all know the Norton logo has changed over the years. I can't say I don't like the latest one but then you see something as awesome as this and, well, dang.

Whats on the timing cover is the best with black or red inside the words to high light it more.

Black, red, gold, silver or polished you can't beat the orginal Norton logo and the design of it you know its motorcycle related and not Norton anti viris or some other brand name, same as the Triumph logo I still perfer the orginal logo compared to the late model logo, its only a slight change at the end of the H but the old design is better.

Yes, Original Logo blows that away , but all graphic design artwork is up for approval or criticism.

The logo shown on the veteran tank is the original Norton logo, preceding the 'curly N' logo.
The straight printed NORTON logo was in use till about 1913 or 1914 when it was replaced by the 'curly N' script, which, legend has it, was the result of Pa Norton's daughter doing some doodling with the family name.

I beleive the character at the top of the N is a tilde to replace or instead of The ,used on the early logo.
