Folks,

I hope some of you will be heading down to 'Bama for the Barber Vintage Celebration in just over a week's time.
I will be there racing my Seeley Commando and Seeley G50. We should be on the ground level in the paddock along the front straight.

If you make it down, please come say hello. Mi Casa/Su Casa (or however that's spelled).

Hey,

We will be there with a display in the pit area. First time for me and I have heard nothing but good things about the whole experience.

So anyone thats at the event, stop by and say Hi.

See you there

...and Kenny...we all expect you to take the podium of course !!

Matt / Colorado Norton Works

Matt, I will do my best. See you Wednesday.

For those who don't know - this festival is the biggest in the country, and quickly becoming biggest in the world. AHRMA Road racing, huge swap meet, demo rides, dirt track, and of course, The Museum.

Racing here is such a joy. I guess it's like golfing Augusta; just the perfect layout.

If you're not coming this year, mark your calendars for next.

Just to help with the Spanish...

It isn't spelled "casa", it is spelled "cerveza", Sehr-Vay-Zah as in "Mi cerveza es su cerveza".

Just trying to be helpful...

Barber is even tighter than St Pete, so the potential for disaster is high. However, being so narrow and having very short straights, the drivers aren’t going to be able to run as wide as they did at St. Pete. Also, after seeing the carnage at the opening race the drivers may be a bit more careful. I could see it going either way. [Indy car racer not a cyclist remark.

Updates? I'm working on my bike today, getting it ready to go. Just a bare frame at this moment.

Barber is still about 10 days away, starting with practice on Thursday, the 11th of October, then racing the following Saturday and Sunday.

You all still have time to make your plans.

I'm going for the first time. If I can find a place to stay. So far, the close motels are all full.

We stayed out by the Speedway. It was a 20 mile ride down the freeway, full of fear and terror. But the backroads were awesome.

We found something in Pell City. Doesn't sound too bad at all. I can't wait. I've never been to an event like this.

It is a great event, and Kenny should do well. For those that have never been, and plan on riding to the event, there are some awesome roads in the area. The ride from Sylacauga north on 231 to 25 is one of the best in the East, you will be all grins and your Norton will be very happy at the end.
