Is the extra ticket to Ace Corner worth it?

Don't know, but I sprung for it. I heard today that the Matchless club will have a presence there, and probably GANOA (the club that did turn 6 at Nortona).

Yeah, but you get this cool pin to put on your jacket next to the hundreds of other pins.!?

Making a mad dash to BHM for the festival. Unfortunately it will be short-lived. I will based at vendor spot A28. I will be having to leave Friday evening to make a military training commitment. Not much time to gather anything for sale, but hope to see many of you there. Rj Reynolds

I'm headed out from North Carolina. (8 am, Oct 11) I hope I can run into a few of you out there!
Cheers!
Dan.

Just did the museum today and had a bloody great time ,very well worth it, truly recommend it.

Got tickets for tomorrow and can't wait.

Barber Vintage Celebration, 2012

Stole picture from a Jockey Journal thread. Anyone know more about it?

It's a project that Bryan Fuller at Fuller Hot Rods is building. It was at Barber where Fuller Hot Rods had set up a display. I saw Fuller in the swap meet and he said it started life as a '68 Commando ( ). Didn't think to ask if it would be on TV.
Fuller won one of those Biker Build-off things and that bike is in the Barber museum, so I guess that's why he was set up. Actually he had a pretty neat display. Painted helmets, a '66 Dart, etc. He's one of those hosts on "Two Guys Garage" also.

That Fuller Norton will have oil in the frame. If you look close you can see the little connections and the one up by the steering head where it goes from the top tubes to the down tubes. Skinny tubes but it goes all the way around.

I ran into Bryan Fuller at one of the swap meet booths - he was looking at a pile of AJS parts. I looked at it and told him it was a 16 and where he could go to see what it is supposed to look like. He seemed like a decent guy.

On another note - Homeslice's Seeley G50 is a work of art! Somehow, I managed to ride right into the pits and park at the Minnovation pavilion, though I didn't see the French maids Martin was talking about.

Hope your foot's feeling better, Kenny.

Somebodys put some decent bloody EXHAUSTS on it , Anyway . Almost . :( A few to many kinks . Far out . Kinky .

Dunno whatll happen if the brakes strong enough to lift the rear at 80 knots . Would the frame toobs just sag . notta lotta braceing up forward . :(

My first time, but I will never miss again. That is a great park and event.

I bought a set of 88 cyls, a timing cover and a good Commando oil tank at the swap meet for 20 each. There was a lot to see down there.

Yeah, Barber's is growing. It makes Mid-Ohio Vintage Days look like a low-class gin joint.

Where else would you see a beautiful Brough Superior SS80 with a Watsonian sidecar in the swap meet area! It could have easily been in Barber's museum!

I agree with your comment about Mid-Ohio.....It was a huge disappointment this year! All of their ticket prices and camping fees took a huge jump this July and the swap meet was smaller, probably due to the increased rental fees.

Another problem for me is that this seems to have a much larger AMA run agenda (Yes, I know that they sponsor the event) and they tried to downplay the Hall Of Fame debacle which excluded Nobby Clark and the resignation of Kenny Roberts and other famous racers.

I've attended for the last four years and this year is probably my last. It also is on the same weekend as the Wauseon event and I've heard a lot of positive comments about that. I guess that I'll just save up my pennies and go to the Barber Event next year instead.
