Check for decimal point!

Well it sure wasn't $48.00 or $480.00 but $4800.00 is WaaaaaaY too much for a rusted motorcycle even if it is fairly complete. You could buy a runner for that price

Jean

My buddy was there and he saw someone asking $350 for a NON running Lucas competition magneto, when he told the seller it was too much, the seller replied "leave it there, someone else will pay for it" and indeed he was right, it was gone the next day :!: As PT Barnum said, "there's a sucker born every minute"

Dear Barber attendees:
I would like to see more pictures from the event.

story I heard was Baxter's found that bike on Thursday when the vendors were setting up, paid around $1000 for it, and stuck it in their stall for $4800. It is a '68, near the end of the first run, with a serial around 128400. Still has the stacked coils with only the sheet metal headstock reinforcement.

Guess it pays to spring for a vendor spot and go cherry-picking the day before things open to the public.

I believe it was Kenny's left foot - two metatarsuls and the pinky toe.
