GP I am slowly getting back to a routine at home, as for my workshop/shed I have only ventured up there a few times to get things, haven't done any work up there just yet, I have sat in a chair under the open awning just looking around, the shed is pretty much tidy for a shed anyway, I love to get back into my train layout but think its a bit soon for that, but will soon once I settle in a bit more, I just want to take my time, get use to being back home and wait for a few mods/jobs get done in the house a tradesman is coming today to measure up the hand rails for the back steps and a few grab rails in the bathroom.
Well my first venture up the hospital yesterday afternoon on the bus, the driver gets out of his compartment with a steel hook rod and lifts a ramp up out of the front door and helps to wheel me in, quite good set up and they have 3 fold up seat near the front on both side for wheel chairs passengers, told the bus drive was my first time so he gave me special trip, the hospital, what a waste of my time, app was for 2:30 we didn't get into the medical room for over 1 hr where 5 other patients are waiting on the bed for the doctors to check you out, they sort of forgot us and we ended being the last patients there when I asked the nurse, have they forgotten us, she said no, then the doctor came took a look at my stump and said all good there, see you in 3 month's time, W T F and to make things worst I needed a pee badly and we were catching the peak hour bus home and our bus only comes every hour so we had 5 minute to get back to the bus station, no way we could make it but we got there 3 minute past the bus time, but lucky our bus was running late this was after 4pm and the bus got there at 4:20 and it was packed, the driver did his thing with the ramp and people moved out of my way and got into the WC area, worked pretty good.
Well today Debra comes here for a home visit with the OT man and physio person to see how she goes to a run up to coming home, as well a tradesman coming as well to check on what is needed in the house to help us out, so a busy day, we also want to steam clean/scrub the hardwood floors as they are so dirty looking a plain mop won't do it, but the floors should look good again after its been done, my wife in the last few years has not been real house proud with her house work and hoarding, was causing us a lot of problem with our marriage, but the accident has brought us back together but things has to change at home, got the house starting to look tidy again from a bit of hard work from myself, not easy doing house work in a wheelchair I can tell you, so while Virginia is here till tomorrow, today she is going to earn her money, tomorrow we have another trip up to the amputee rehab section in the morning, not sure how long we be up there but its a maxi taxi ride both ways, I hope.
Its sad when I go up into my shed and see my old Norton just sitting there, love to be able to kick my bike over and take it out for the day, at the moment I can only dream of doing that but I so badly need to get back on the Norton, in fact I am hanging out to be riding again, coming up to 50 years together my Norton is my life, it's been the happiest life together it never complains, never argue with me and never talks back and when the wife and I are arguing my Norton gets me away when I need that escape, my Norton has no name except for bike, I always pat it on the tank after every ride and I thank it for getting me home safe after a great ride together, some of my mates think I am mad but it works for me and its been a freak of a old bike that has only let me down with parts it didn't like lol or some of the stupid things I done to it in my younger days doing burnouts and all, my old Norton is showing her age but so am I we are both aging together and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Well that's about it for today's report lol.
