Any consequence from removing the 2MC capacitor?

The 2MC capacitor on my Mk3 is already disconnected. The guy I paid a good chunk of change to get 'er running again 3 years ago claimed it was past it's useful life and helped to burn out one of the coils. I am sure he was correct and since he disconnected it I've had no problems whatsoever starting 'er up.

My question is, can I remove it? I see there are several wires currently still connected. What happens if I disconnect them all?

Im sure ill be corrected if wrong as im not fully familiar with the 850 wiring but from what i recall the cap is just to help with starting with a low battery. If you have a good battery with a strong charge circuit removing it should not be an issue

Yes, you can remove the 2MC if you want.
There are normally two brown/blue wires on "common" terminals (and a separate red). If the brown/blue wires are disconnected from the 2MC then it may leave you with no power to the main switch, if so, connect the two brown/blue wires together.

Yes, I suspect the same. It just spooks me that the other wires are connected. Just wondering if the flow is disturbed once I remove it.
