Been wanting a "tripmeter" for my Norton for a long, long time. (I like to see what MPG I get each fillup) None of the 8 Nortons I've owned had trip meters, so I had to carry a little notebook with last fillup mileage ... and usually forgot the notebook. Been watchin' ebay over the years, and the Norton speedos (smiths instrument with the reset knob coming out the bottom) always seem to go for way more money than I'm willing to spend. Triumph ones with the knob coming out the side, seem to be much more plentiful. And, cheap repos of them are very reasonable and work pretty good. Used them on a couple Triumphs and was happy with them. Got the PAIR shown on sale from Dennis at northerneagle.ca for about $130. Using Triumph rubbercups and brackets, bolted right on the Norton. Only issue is I think I need much shorter "spacers" (EMT nuts for now), as the cables are JUST BARELY long enough. I think it works a treat ... comments ???
