Loaded up the bike on my uncle's trailer and we headed off the to the 34th Annual Portland All British Field Meet. As I mentioned in my build thread I started going to this even in the late 80s with first my MG, then Triumphs (GT-6 and TR-4). I can't remember taking my Interstate to the even but I could very well have (that was a long time ago too).
Anyways with the Combat nearly done I hauled it out there. They move the various classes around the field at PIR and this year decided that a nice slope would be good for the bikes  , and not only that it sloped the wrong way for side stands   The organizers got a short lesson and I have a feeling next year we'll be in a better spot. Car people no understand bike needs.
Here's the sign I made for the show.
There were probably 15+ bikes for the show. Which is about average. I remember early years when there was maybe one.
Easily one of the trickest bikes was this custom Trident. It had a replica Redline frame custom made for a Trident (Redline never made triple frames) and just over all very well made.
At the same time as the car show was vintage car racing. Although there were plenty of exotic and erotic cars I will only share this one as it has bike roots. It's an old Cooper with a JAP motor. Very cool. Who cares about the Ferraris and Lolas and Lotus and well, you get the picture...
At least next year I'll get to ride to the show, especially since it's only a couple miles from the house.
