'71 weld-on sidestand bracket

What is the story with the '71 frames and side stands. Fair spares sold me on a heavy weld-on bracket so I can use a later side stand. I welded up the bracket to the frame and hope I got the geometry correct. I guess I will need to check against the template I found online. Don't want my bike to lean on its stand like a Harley.

Wish I had just used a universal clamp-on side stand now.

If the angle is incorrect just fabricate a square wedge washer to achieve the correct angle. Tack that to the weld-on lug.

I got one from OldBrits to replace the worn out one on my MKIII. OldBrikes has a template to help align the new braket.
