'71 Side Stand spring when fitting latter lug and stand

What Spring is used when fitting a latter Side Stand to a '71. From memory, the holes for the springs are positioned differently on '71 vs later bikes.

I have a '71 and a '73. They both have a hole in the middle of the front tube under the engine. The '71 hole is pretty close to centered. The '73 hole measures about 1/2 inch from center towards the right side. I had a new lug welded on the frame to mount a later sidestand. I suppose I'll try the spring in the original hole when I put the '71 back together and see if there's enough tension to keep the sidestand against the frame. The '73 certainly gives the frame a good rap when the stand is retracted, so there's plenty of tension there.

I tried the earlier, shorter spring but it was too short. Going to see if the later, longer one works with the existing hole.
