Interesting to see so many different takes on gearing here.
...hopefully the photo may give a 'small' clue....

Either that's a Chinese made 125 cc Norton replica, or you're a really big guy. I can see why you geared down.

I didn't know they made a 3/4 scale model...

And to think the 850 commando was the BIG bike of the time ,from Pomgolia anyway

Have you ever tried a commando with the footpegs back 5'' , I reckon you would find it alot less painfull on your arse and thighs.

You might want to invest in some superior padding in that seat. It looks squished down to the pan there.

I just told my wife what you said (I totally agree, BTW) and she says 'no'.
Maybe if I buy her a new frock or something before I ask again...?

It's probably not the right seat for the bike - I suspect it's off an early combat. If I could I'd buy a new one.
My roadster bodywork is still languishing, half painted. That has a much nicer seat ;) That said it would be a bit cramped, perhaps...

Yes with long legs/trunk like me it's well worth while to buy your wife new shoes so she relaxes on your new rear sets and everyone happy in long run. Also T140 hi rise bars completes the posture improvement, allows normal up right to tucked down or even standing bolt upright to clear a lump or see over something and not have to bend over like Quasimoto to keep hands on grip/controls. Do it you'll love it.
BTW I also ride THE Gravel and found the wider taller bars gave more leverage ease to resist the snatch outs and periodic fork jerk corrections/saves. Avoid steering damper or causes splat you could otherwise save. My wife says I make my SV650 look like a kids pit bike cause I have to sort fold up to fit on its factory set up.
