I'm rebuilding the trany on my MKIII, The only bearing I can get for the sleeve gear is a NICE 10 ball semi ground race bearing, in that size. Fair Spares sells a 9 ball UK bearing and I have an old one that I was comparing to the 10 ball NICE. It seems tighter and has a deeper outer race than the NICE. Does the UK bearing have a tighter construction even though it has only nine balls? The balls look larger but it hard to tell with the cages intact.

No opinions? I used the NICE, the bearing supplier said it had the same spec as an old original bearing I had laying around. The new NICE did not seem as well built, even with more balls. 8) . I'm waiting for a tighter clutch bearing, to finish up the bike.

Never heard about NICE but both my old and new have 9 balls.
Hopefully it has the same spec and will work fine.

Regards,
Per
