Title says it all really! Now my bike's back from Stu/Motorvated and in perfect order (touch wood!) I'm actually looking forward to the trip this year as opposed to the anxiety filled trips of the past!

I've spotted a few folks (mostly on the recall thread!) mentioning the TT so wanted to see who's all going & when.

I'm stopping in Castletown - same homestay for 13 years!
Ferry Heysham-Douglas Fri 30th for race week

Who else?

Who's going to the TT??

I'm going over on the 26th. White tiger 1200 now the Norton won't be ready .
I'm in Bucks road Douglas next to the Rosemont pub. We been there 15 years. But this is the last year the lady is closing up this year

I am going for Practice Week staying at the Best Western but on my BMW R1250GS as I am still waiting for my bike to be collected. Mind you I live in Poole and am riding up to get the ferry from Liverpool so by the time I get there I will probably thank Norton as I do not think my 961 will be quite as comfortable as my GS!

My Grandad and some of the Norton team always stayed at Castle Mona. Had a look when I was last there (2012) and it looked a bit flash.
Sorry - that's Douglas!

What's nice - and not on the circuit - Is a kipper sandwich on fresh bread at Peel!

And if Kippers repeat on you (what’s that?) repeat on you 🙄 🤣, - try them with marmalade. It works believe me!

When I was about 19, I was studying part time while working. I attempted to do 5 subjects in one year and failed 3 out of the 5. My mate suggested I should give up and we could both go road racing in the UK. I cannot even watch the IOM in videos without feeling sick. I know what would have happened, if I had tried to race there. And it is one place where I certainly would have raced.

Next years TT tickets go on sale today. I'm currently trying to book my ferry . I wonder if the Norton will be back in time for next years TT or should I just book the Triumph on 🤔

Ya got it booked. But couldn't get of the island to Monday .
Our landlady informed us this is her last year. So I guess I will be paying and lot more then £30 a night b&b with cakes and the odd evening meal thrown in next year

Ha! Same for me. Had the same homestay for 13yrs and price is the same. Literally get the same as you.....over £100/night for a tent in Douglas.

They said the room is mine forever assuming they're still living there....praying that happens! House is amazing

A lot more I would guess.

Yeh I've seen homestays in the thousands unfortunately. Not exactly what the scheme was intended for, but hey ho....

There are 8 of us staying in our current homestay couple of doors down from the Rosemount pub in bucks road Douglas.
I'm looking at Peel campsite for next year if we can't get anything else . Douglas was always the place to be. But maybe it's my age Peel and the south are looking more attractive.

I've been based in Castletown for almost 10yrs and it's excellent. Food/bars are all spot on. Quiet enough, etc etc. Plus you get a de-restricted road up to Ballacraine so blows the cobwebs off in the morning without mucking about on the mountain.

I do like the food in the Garson and and a pint in the glue pot . I wouldn't mind castle town . I will keep my eye open for homestay there

If you need any tips/pointers drop me a note. Like I said, been staying in Castletown for many many years

If you hear of any homestays Kev let us know . I will be in the Garrison and glue pot at some point. I will drop you a message so if your about

I’ll be there. Ferry arrives at ‘sparrow o’clock’ on 29th. Home stay in Douglas, looking to hook up with other Nortoneers during the week. Using the Facebook ‘The Norton Commando & Dominator 961 Motorcycle Owners Club’ site for contacts and keeping in touch.
