Bonham estimated value of US$ 23,000 - 26,000 seems a little low to me. Am I off?

If you look at the entire catalog all the prices seem a tad low. Don’t know if it’s a way to attract buyers or a sign of the times.

What would you bid for it. I love the look of it but you know there will be a few initial snags to sort out. I would pay £14K

I wonder if it is either SG or SS selling it, they would have bagged #1 wouldn't they
I agree there with u Richard , but there again didn’t John mcguiness get given a #1 anniversary Ltd edition ? Wonder if he actually took it home or got it after all ?

I remember a video of John Mcguiness showing a silver CR Commando 961 .

He definitely got the #1 cafe racer 50th edition and there is a video of him showing all his bikes at his home and the 961 is there. Just didn' get his TT money whatever that amounted to

So basically he got nothing and a bike that’s basically of zero value built on con money.

How do you mean zero value ? He can probably sell it for some amount and because it was in the possession of John McPint as a gift maybe worth more ?

I mean that compared to what John is worth in value and the bike he received instead of his actual payment for his efforts and skills, he received nothing in return.
Sure he got a Norton, but look how many bikes he’s received and has from other bike manufacturers. He still didn’t get “paid” and the bike was given to him and paid for by stock holders money. John got screwed just like anyone and everyone else who was a victim of SG.

Yup, that seems a reasonable summary. I doubt SG is on McPints Christmas card list.

I see what you mean now. I got my 961 up to 120 mph yesterday on a long stretch of road here. With all the stuff I carry , full tank bag and tail pack . Any faster was going to take a too long while so I let off . 129 mph may be possible but not the way mine is dressed .
