Nothing on either the plate, or the shoes.

I PM'd the OP of the mystery plate. He was last seen on this Forum in 2016. Not much hope he can be found.

At this point, I am thinking Dunstall purchased the rights to cast his own plates based on the Triumph design, or had Triumph make him a run of plates per his modifications ... i.e. the boss being the principal mod. If this is correct, Triumph would undoubtedly require their casting marks, part numbers, etc be removed, which is why there are no cast in markings.

That still leaves the shoes, .... as Triton T wrote in the mystery thread, it is doubtful Dunstall had a batch of his own shoes lying around. He certainly had a source for shoes.

The other shoe to look out for, but might be just as rare, is the shoes used on the Eddie Dow 8" TLS for the BSA.

Maybe Dunstall just bought them off Eddie or vica versa, they do look very similar. Eddie Dow did an ealier version called the Duetto.

Comparison of Norton 8" TLS shoe to BSA/Triumph 8" TLS

Sat shoes directly over each other and both cam ends aligned.

Picture of other end, BSA/Triumph is longer but the end has an arc which slides on the fixed perch making the shoe fully floating. Milled flat and with a steel protective shoe so the alloy does not divot it could rest on the current round pivot and fully float (that's how Triumph added fully floating shoes to unmodified brakeplates in 66 making the shoes backward compatible).

That Eddie Dow brake appears to be exactly as mine. The cam levers and clevis linkage are spot on.

I followed the link you gave, but found nothing I could use. I do, however, have another name to search on, which may lead somewhere.

I will keep all posted if I find anything new.

The ED images look just right. They were sold to a lot of dealers . Asking the BSA a7- a10 forum looks your best bet. I think yours might be a Duretto 2.

I have emailed the vendor asking if brake shoes are available. Perhaps a stock BSA shoe fits.

The complete brake is rather pricey.......GBP840 ...... I do not remember what I paid for it in the late 60"s, perhaps 15 GBP, when the pound was worth about US$1.60!
