Oil Hose

Notice that I certainly didn't recommend buying it! You would have to buy 4 feet to get enough for one Commando - $79.08!

I did hear back from AN. The hose they sell does fit the original protectors. At today's exchange rate, it would cost $18.55 for the three hoses plus shipping to the US. It's not herringbone.

I'm glad I started this - lots of good ideas!

Understood and didn’t take it as a recommendation from your end, just commenting on a pricey piece of rubber.;)

Yeah, I found that too. Dont know what the aversion to this hose is. Works great and you can buy it off the spool at your local auto parts store.

No aversion from me. I'm thankful that I now know that using 5/16" ID hose makes sense. However, it is most definitely not available on spools in the auto parts stores around me. I have some I bought on Amazon to use on Triumphs so I'm good.

Luckily I provided an eBay link. 4ft section no less. $20 is a little spendy, the last stuff I think I got at NAPA. Not sure if it was more or less but I do know it was a while ago.
