I have read all the post about SE #s. My SE is a 2015 Commando 961SE. The crown plate says 1 or 50 USA. The last 3#s of the VIN is 216!! What the heck do I have? Norton said the top crown is just that 1 of 50 not #1. He said that it would PROBABLY be one of the last 3 #s from 0-200. But mine is 216!!
All the info I read here doesn't correspond with anything I have!!
I'm pretty sure it is an SE. Has all the extra carbon & radial masters of the SE. It has rwu forks & axial calipers.
Just like to find out what I have.
Thanks guys. You have been nothing but helpful with any questions I have.

My 2013 SE was built in May 2014. It has 10 of 50 on the plate and the last 3 numbers of the VIN are 045. Does this help or confuse things even more?

Can u post a few pics of the bike, I thought all the SE bikes had BST carbon fibre wheels & USD forks

unfortunately guys Norton was pretty inconsistent with their SE series. The initial ones came with individual number like 1 of 50. 2 of 50 etc. They delivered the last batches with no numbers on the triple clamps at all. Then they shipped the decals to the dealer who sold the SE's after the fact. All had 1 of 50 on them so it is pretty hard to determine which of 50 one had. You really can't go by vin numbers as the SE was interspersed with the other models and not produced in sequence. Norton was also inconsistent with how SE models were configured. Some had USD forks others had conventional forks. Same situation with wheels. Sort of like whatever they had on hand at the time of manufacture. Hope this helps but probably only serves to further muddle your discovery process

Did the factory issue a certificate of authenticity with each bike that would identify the serial# of that bike as a qualified SE model?

Hey thanks! It sure does help. Now I know that it can come anyway in the USA! Really! That was a great help.

My SE came with a special SE book that matches my SE# and the last three digits of serial (vin) number is my se #.

. I think its only the usa bikes that are not included in the 200SE’s. as far as Im aware usa have their own 50 special editions but are not all the same like the rest of the 200se’s. i have a list of most of the SE’s and what area of the world they are in.

Can you share that list?
