I
One of the issues with E85 is the blend is all over the place depending on where/when you fill up.
Always a chance there will be water in the mix also.[/QUOTE
It doesn’t matter what the blend is!
It’s still higher octane then the gasoline.
My car makes more hp on E85,80,75,70 or E50 when compared to 93 octane or 100 octane race gas.
The ecu automatically adjust the timing by reading the o2 sensors.
It’s not rocket science.
All I wanna know is if the ecu can read the o2 and adjust for timing as it does in my car which is also non Factory E85
I can give two shits if the government owns the corn fields, if the blend is E85 or E50 or about plastic tanks!
All I’m asking is how the Ecu On our bikes adjust for the octane.
Example.
My cars min fuel requirements are 91 octane.
Anything above 91 the computer adds timing. It does this automatically. On a bone stock engine it’ll keep adding timing until it detects spark know and then retard timing. It also does this with E85 fuel.
I didn’t have to change anything on my car to run e85. All I had to do was open up the window in the tuning. That’s it.
My car has a plastic tank as does all new cars that run E85. I’m aware that some rubber or plastic is effected by E85.
I’m not asking about that.
All I wanna know is the ecu tuning.
If all I have to do is change fuel lines and maybe injectors to add more hp. Dammit I’ll do it. It’s easy.
