I liked Photobucket because it was super easy to get the BBEdit code. We all know how that turned out. At least we can see the old photos even if they are watermarked.

I also used Flickr because it use to be super easy to upload from iPhoto. Now it's only easy to upload from iOS. And now...

Flickr is limiting free accounts to 1000 photos. To make it painful if you have more than 1000 they will start deleting them starting in 2019. I had stopped using Photobucket and went back to Flickr as it's somewhat ok to get the BBEdit code.

Looks like that is going away now.

While I'd love to use the service here the reality is that I post on many forums and need a decent image host.

Or stop posting photos.

Guess you missed the memo...
Internet is run by and financed by "for profit" companies.
Free storage or bandwith not part of current reality.

It’s the bait and switch that irks me.
Yup... Lot of that going on.
Not to mention hidden data mining, outright scams, and rampant misinformation.
FWIW...
I used to be a Flickr regular until Yahoo bought and wrecked it.
Smugmug should do better, but too late for me and most of the friends i made on the original site.
