It's not worth anything compared to the value of a brother who loves you so much he would give it to you...

Well I plan to get it running so he can sell .... we not really that close , he is a decade younger ... he was starting school , I was leaving home , as adults he just came back from working in France for many years ... have not seen each other much since he was very young ....

Family is family enjoy it while you can even if you are distant.

Theyre a tarted up Mondeo ,
Probly better to keep it .

Spray some C R C around all the connectors . often impedance stops electrickery .

The Aston V 12 is just TWO Mondeos , Tho they seem to go ok too .
Bit tacket though, you know what Fords are like . Accountants .

Some of those later Jags had 4 litre Ford engines and were not too bad. I was at Queensland Raceway a few years ago, working on an Australian Standard for managing risk in motor sport. The guy who owned the raceway, took us for a blast in a late model Jag. It was pretty quick and handled very well.

I have received no info from my Brother on the Jag yet , wish I had Year and model so I could start research ..... I just picked up a low km ‘14 Acura TL SH-awd ... has torque vectoring which speeds up outside wheels in the twisties , no chance yet to try as summer performance tires mounted and we have snow and ice covered secondary roads presently,if anyone recognizes the model and year of Jag please respond , thanks !!!

Craig, I don’t know how much you already know, so forgive me if I’m stating the obvious here...

The car is a jaguar X Type, it was indeed built on the Mondeo platform, Ford owned Jaguar at the time and included Jag in its Premier Automotoive Group (PAG) which included Jag, Volvo, Aston Martin. It shared a number of ‘customer facing’ components, like switches etc, with the Mondeo too, causing much criticism.

They were produced from 2001 to 2009. I believe they came with various I4 Diesel engines and V6 petrol engines.

I’ve no idea what year or type yours is, finding out what engine is in would narrow things down a lot.

It was a disaster for Ford / Jaguar. The factory was built with an ‘installed capacity’ for 200,000 units per year, but they only built around 350,000 IN TOTAL.

They can be picked up here in U.K. for as little as £300.

Can’t you just give it him back ??
