Back when, I bought a new AAU and had the bob weights hard chromed - no problem for years. When I sold that bike, that hard chromed AAU went with it.
Ancient Boyer idle-
Would idle stabilization improve this?
It seems rock solid to me but perhaps it could be better.

Nothing wrong with the old Boyar's I had mine in my Norton for over 30 years without even touching it, the bike started and ran great idled well, then I went for a Joe Hunt maggie, Ashley
For me it's all about reliability
And you can take my Lucas Rita when you can pry it from my cold dead hand's
Yes I also have had good service from a Boyer unitMy first EI was a Lucas Rita way back in 1979 it lasted just over 12 months before it sh.. itself replaced it with the Boya it lasted 30 years and as far as I know its still being used in my mate's old Norton when he sold it on, I think it only kicked me back twice in all the time I had it.

Maybe 15years plus but it started kicking back despite a fully charged battery
