The problem IS , if he is not carefull , he will turn into a politition.

Rank somewhere with real estate agents , and new readers . Blathering extortionists .

98 in NZ the decisive factor , in the last week
WAS
Helen Clarks New Hairdo ,
And Winston Peters New TIE .

If it had been
Winston Peters New Tie ,
and
Helen Clarkes New Hairdo .

He probly wouldve ' Won ' . whatever that is .

Some of them actually think theyre more inteligent and have higher moral ground than their constituants , Which might be debateable .

Newspeak ' Progressive ' = Moral degeneracy as normal . As usual .

The U S ' inteligence ' over a 50 year period , must be the universes greatest HYPOCRITS .

And WHO trained Idi Amin .

Well. . . . in some respects, he already HAS turned into a Politian – hence him not telling his own staff of inviting Putin over to the USA embarrassing when they find out on National TV!:(

Every action causes a reaction. Trump is probably not as important as what the reaction to him might be. 'Things always get worse before they get better'.

I don't know about that. For many years US politics has seemed to me like a drag car (or drag bike, if you prefer), getting out of control--it starts off going straight, starts to drift a little bit to one side, the driver tries to correct, overcorrects ever so slightly, tries to correct again, begins to jerk violently from left to right, left to right, bigger and bigger swerves until he finally hits the wall. My only question is: will the U.S. hit the wall or veer into the other lane and what will that look like?

Hmmm. Growth 4% Unemployment 3.8%. Black unemployment lowest ever. Taxes cut. Regulatory overreach controlled. NAFTA junked. North Korea on its heels. Russiagate unmasked. NATO paying more. Chinese rapacity challenged. And, Kavanaugh, a second textualist, confirmed.

Hmmm. And from whose mouth did these "facts" come?

Politics is just not my thing , but from what I've seen and heard Mr. Trump may be biggest "bozo" in charge yet ..... sure hope nothing bad happens south of our border .... for the most part nothing has ever changed in my life no matter who was in power where ever , assume it will remain so .....

To the eyes of the world Trump is a fool and to most of his own country men, to the UN they laughed at what he told them how good he is and to come out to say that how well him and his bum buddy Kim get on sending each other love letters, what a joke but hey the world is laughing at us in Australia, 6 prime minsters in 8 years, what a joke, we seem to be run by fools in these times, but we are also living in a dangours world and for the last 60 years nothing has worked, cost of just living is getting out of hand and even worst when living on a very tight budget, but you never know the fools might just come out on top and do something right as it hasn't worked so far, maybe one day we will all wake up and the world will be a better place and our leaders doing their job to make the world a better place instead of looking after themselfs, politics play is all about power, party control, control of their people, maybe the way each side of Goverments need to change, but I can't see that happening in my life time.
It about time politisions listen to the people for once instead of themselfs or their own party and work for a better life as its not working now unless you are rich and powerful.

It seems that more and more nations are facing a choice between a poor leader or a worse one all in the name of “giving the people the choice” Trump played to the fears of the American people but he then delivered on most of his promises. (No wall yet ;)) Politicians in the UK did the same over Brexit and the PM is determined to deliver the promise.
Popularist demands and a populist vote is not always what is best for each country as a whole.
Be careful what you wish for!

Perhaps America needed the experience of a Trump before it would start to improve ? To my mind, he is the ultimate extension of individualism. - You get a non compis egomaniac.
If there is one thing I really hate, it is 'jingoism'. So what I am going to say is not nationalist bullshit. During WW2, after the fall of Singapore, thousands of Allied soldiers were held prisoner in Changi Jail. The British maintained their class system, the Americans were individuals, the Australians had their support groups up and running. Two of the most basic Australian values are collectivism and 'the fair go'. Our guys survived better than most others - nobody gets left behind.
Please accept this in the way in which it is intended - I only wish you well. Trump has the potential to affect everyone on the planet.

Democracy periodically needs a revolutionary shift to keep things healthy. The downside is that revolutionary changes are formented by very radical leaders using chaos as a tool. Alas, there is much collateral human damage before the radicals are thrown out by moderate leaders. Examples: The French Revolution, The Russian Revolution. The biggest problem facing our world today is that there are just too many people.

Re; “scientists have a 'political agenda' ---and he hasn’t?
I don’t think Trump has a political agenda himself - the republicans are trying to push him to one - he is still focusing on popularity polls so goes for the most popular issues so people will ‘like’ him (Twitter/faceache/snapnumpty) The way he is going through advisers and heads of government departments he is still on the set of the apprentice

As for anthropogenic climate change, there is no need to argue about whether it exists or does not exist. Let's assume it does.

The real argument then, and unstated by the "we gotta do something" climate change camp, is what we do about it.

THAT is the hard nut. THAT is where the rubber hits the road. Who pays, how much, when? What are the economic consequences? Naturally, when someone asks these questions, the response is evasion, a non-response - "denier!"

What about the costs? And, what EXACTLY, is proposed?

A slur - "denier!" - is not an argument.

Your argument might appear sound, but nothing makes things worse by men (and woman) who do nothing. .. . . .
