Re; "Typical NPC. Canned non-think. Rote repetition." quote.

    What is an NPC?

NPC means “non playable character” or “non player character.” It’s a term, borrowed from the world of video games, for a character that is controlled by the computer rather than by a player. An NPC often advances the game’s plot by saying scripted lines, or assisting the playable characters in some way.

I think you should stick to your video games as it appears you cannot think out of the box!

What really amazes me about Trump is the number of morons that crawl out of the woodwork in response to his bullshit. In Australia they seem to be coming thick and fast. I always blamed the German people for Hitler, but it is easy to see how that sort of thing can happen in a modern context. In a way, I think it is right to resist China - mainly because of their authoritarian politics - it is not what most of us are about. But moving more towards fascism is not the answer.

Watch out, xbacksideslider will be out to get you with his legally available mini gun - purely for self defence of course!
Not necessarily a move towards fascism but many are tapping into the popular opinions and bias of the current time - social media dictating political debate is never a good idea.

WTF? Are you saying that as there is a lot of shooting in the USA that xbacksideslider is going to leave his gun totting shooting video game and fly all the way across the pond to come and shoot me?!!! :( Well if he has got nothing better to do with his time, an amusing idea :)

Perhaps you should reread the 16th posted message on this thread on page 1, A MESSAGE FROM THE QUEEN- from johnm, particularly paragraph 4 & 5 . . . . .

That is simply the nature of extremism, there is always the risk of escalation. I have been told that I am a very good judge of character - Trump gives all the wrong signals. Watch his body language and tone of voice.

    Agree whole heartedly.
Message and body language don’t match - he will however be re-elected in 2020, his popularity in the public is getting higher by the day and this goes against all previous sitting Presidents who by mid term are down in the polls.
I guess we are in for 6 years of uncertainty from the self appointed “Leader of the free world” unfortunately this sense of ****** first (insert country) is spreading.

    Craig,
He was elected as a President of the United States by the voters, he calls himself the “leader of the free world” (supported by the media he frequently berates) but promotes an insular inward looking agenda - no irony there!
Like you, glad he is not leading my country....oh wait! I think he is......
At least you recently legalised cannabis so, lean back, chill and watch the fun.

He's fired so many of his "trusted colleagues" that I doubt he could recruit any more replacements. I'm glad I'm a 77-year-old Brit, so there's no risk of being asked!

I used to be opposed to the Royals who lead our Westminster system of government and I believed Australia should become a republic - until I saw Trump. The American system might give more freedom, but at what cost ? The execution of Charles the 1st and the subsequent civil war limited the power of the monarch in our system, but introduced checks and balances - so the risks are more controlled.

This is something the French should have tried with their royals, but they chopped all their heads off! I have been told that some, but not all, of the French are jealous we the British still have a royal family. . . . .

I thought it was a gentleman’s agreement that the sitting president and the former president(s) did not make comments or criticise each other? Obviously a protocol that DJT has chosen to ignore - guess it is no surprise he cannot meet a “gentleman’s” agreement.
Obama has criticised the policies but refrained from naming DJT specifically.

Perhaps there is a problem with too much freedom when the checks and balances are minimised ? Under the Westminster system, Queen Elizabeth has defined powers and can dismiss the government, however she cannot act arbitrarily. She always has to consider public sentiment, or her own head is on the chopping block. I have great respect for the Brits. Their system was bought with blood. To my mind the Royals are bullshit - but necessary.

Being from New York and having that pompous douchebag around since my teens really gets the bile up in my throat. That's all I'll say, however, I enjoy seeing the opinions of all you fine folk across the pond (s). I can't fail him for every move, just most.

Actually he was elected by the gerrymandered Electoral College and Hilary Clinton garnered more votes, so don’t blame Trump on the American population. As the recent Mid-Term elections have shown, if people get off their lazy asses and go vote, results are somewhat different. I blame Trump on those who stayed home rather than voting in the last Presidential election.
