Tricky Dickie was actually a crook and resigned to avoid impeachment. I consider him to be the biggest disgrace. Trump is just a clown who couldn't get out of a paper bag without a lot of help. I still haven't figured out how the Presidential election gave everyone two raving loonies to choose from rather than someone who might have been able to actually do the job.
Actually, Nixon, as did Obama, spied on the opposing party. Both got caught. Nixon, opposed by media and Democrat controlled Congress, went down. Obama, opposed by no one, so far, gets away with it. Nixon hired his own guys. Obama used the NSA, the CIA, and the FBI.

Trump got elected - clown? Nah, fact is he won; therefore, a winner. Can't "get out of a paper bag?" Actually, he did get out of this Russia bag, bogus as it was. And, who? Pray tell, "might have been able to actually do the job?"

I would like The President of The United States to have some admirable qualities besides loving his children. Nixon was an amateur crook compared to The Donald. Add that to his insufferable ego (cheating at golf, really?) and politics become secondary.

My political model as I became aware politics was more than another reason to raise hell and party, was the late Congressman Melvin Price. A social liberal and a fiscal conservative, he was sometimes referred to as "nearly Republican" by many of the Democrats who re-elected him time and time again. I'm sure he'd be appalled by the current administration, not necessarily for the politics, but the pure lack of common decency. I know I am.

I still go by results, not personalities. And I don't need a documentary, a movie or an orange idiot to tell me what I really think. I look at what actually happened, not what someone else said happened to excuse all the Republican fukups and blame them on previous Democrats. As I said, I've heard all that crap before and culled it. Clinton created a good working economy, Bush nearly pushed it over the brink and Obama brought it back. If all you apologists hadn't hated Hilary so bad, Trump wouldn't even be here and this thread wouldn't even exist.n So don't talk about hate. Put up some results or STFU.
What results are you talking about? You haven't posted any results, you just call Trump names.

You said, "I look at what actually happened". Really, you just look out into thin air and you know what happened? I think your method is flawed. Try reading a book or watching one of the documentaries I reccomended.

You've "culled" nothing, because you are probably the most vitriolic uninformed commenter posting their factless comments on this thread here.

Clinton built a house of cards. He wanted to increase home ownership amongst minority groups as a way of helping them break the cycle of living for generations in urban housing projects, He lowered the qualifications for mortgage lending. His appointee at Fanny Mae, Franklin Raines gave mortgage loans to anyone who applied, and then cooked the books to show Fanny Mae was doing well, when in fact they were experiencing record losses.

This substantial increase in mortgage lending created a housing boom, so construction took off, as did salaries for workers. The housing market was so hot, that new home prices skyrocketed and the boom was on,... Unfortunately, Clinton was a moderate enough to play both sides of the isle and he signed the repeal of the glass-steagal act which ended the prohibition of selling uncolateralized debts as investments. Initially banks made money at record pace, so they endorsed the most risky policies to maximize profits, but that didn't last long.

This combination of all these things was the equivilent of a house of cards or more accurately a domino effect based on the fact that they were all going to fail as soon as the first domino fell. When Bush took office, his administration intitially kept the Clinton policies of Fanny Mae because based on the books they were shown, Fanny mae was in no trouble and was helping people buy homes at a record pace. Once the fake books and bad mortgage lending policies at Fanny mae was found out, the first domino had fallen, and the rest of the dominos were all based on those debts having value...

As the mortgage failure rates increased and housing prices tanked, builders went belly up, work ceased and workers had no work to do, there was a huge glut of houses that were in various stages of completion but not sold, banks suffered record losses, and any entity who bought mortgage backed securities either was bailed out by Obama's gift of 700 billion in 2008, or went belly up if they were deemed small enough to let them fail.

Tell me more about how you go by results,... because I don't see a single argument you have made that isn't just your opinion based on your loathing.

You could do some research and learn something. BTW, that "STFU" comment is childish over the internet, and not something you would say to anyone's face, but I guess it fits in with your demenor here pretty well

If America reverted to becoming a constitutional monarchy, Trump could be dismissed. Perhaps Queen Elizabeth might agree to become the Queen of America if you asked nicely and just 'fess-up that you got it wrong ?

You can call me anything you want, I shall not reply in kind, But Trump is a prick of the first order and the type of people who defend him in any way are similar to all the German sheep who went along with Hitler. I don't like him and I make no apologies. I've lived through the the Presidents and the results you claim to be invisible were there for all to see. If ush continued Clinton's policies and they were wrong, Bush was a dumbass. I don't know if you've ever heard that from anyone else, but it's a not unpopular opinion of him and his administration. If you want to talk about how wonderful Trump is, well this thread is about him (the prick) but bringing up Obama. Clinton or even Bush is off-topic. Trump is a prick, Trump is a prick. Trump is a prick. If you don't like it, refute it with some of your "facts" you learned watching tv and trolling the internet. Don't bring up Chester A. Arthur or Calvin Coolidge. The title of the thread is "Trump seems o be doing well so far" Agree or disagree or start a thread blaming Clinton and Obama for everything you don't like.

I was closer to the housing crisis and it's causes and effects than tv experts like you will ever be. And it's spelled "demeanor", Einstein.

you keep spewing how well you did under clinton and obama but you still fail to see the bigger picture or even do some research as some have lead you to look at. well here is some info on what was a partial cause of the housing collapse from investors business daily.this was done on clintons watch. and the link to it
https://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/fingerprints-of-obama-on-subprime-foreclosure-crisis/

"The Obama Record: The Obama camp's running a new ad reminding African-Americans of all he's done for them as they weather an economic crisis he "inherited." Left out is his own role in their predicament.

The press has never questioned the president about his involvement. But his fingerprints are there.

Before the crisis, Obama pushed thousands of credit-poor blacks into homes they couldn't afford. As a civil-rights attorney, he sued banks to rubberstamp mortgages for urban residents."

oh and your last post just shows what a jackass you can be when someone disagrees with you which makes you loose ALL credibility

Whatever your position, there is no doubt that the current president is like marmite - you either love him or hate him.

I do not believe that opposers will come to an agreement so it might be time to agree to disagree on this one.

That's your opinion and you have a right to it. I didn't have to post a link to back up what I experienced and what I lived through. Having been intimately involved in the housing industry, I saw none of that. I did see people using their homes for bank accounts. I did see people building one ever-larger home after another and the banks practically giving mortgages away for a song just to make their upfront fees since they couldn't make anything on interest, I did see banks selling these mortgages to investors with absolutely no real backing or assurance of their worth and lots of greedy paper-pushers making millions while producing nothing but smoke. Property developers in Florida were securing mortgages for high-rise condos to people with no hope of ever making the payments. Banks traded paper, with each trade getting a little off the top skimmed until there was no value whatsoever in the paper and mortgages. And then we had to bail the rotten greedy bastards out to keep the whole economy from going over the cliff. Trillions of dollars of value disappeared. Suppose one of you link posters tell everyone where it all went?

And again, this thread's about Trump and if you think all the problems he's creating are Obamas's fault or Clinton's fault, you're living in a world of right-winger fantasy. Trump's whole working and educational life have been a huge scam (remember Trump University?) and if it weren't for the Russians bailing his ass out with money funneled through a German Bank, he'd be stuck doing a reality tv show about a failed mogul standing on the street in NYC with a in begging cup. Tell everyone how much you love or hate him and why or start another thread. Unless, of course, you don't want anyone to know what you really think of him.

He's demonizing Mexicans the same way Hitler demonized the Jews, rabble-rousing his ignorant redneck base who sat silently or 40 years while millions of illegals came here to do the jobs that don't pay enough for Americans who can get something better. Notice I didn't say jobs Americans won't do, because there is no such thing. Calling poor, indigent illegals "thugs" "drug dealers" "gangsters" and such is just a way of fomenting hate and gathering votes for 2020. He remodeled a section of border wall Obama built. just so he could slap his mane on it, along with the name of the director of Homeland Security, who promptly resigned. He Loved Wikileaks. Now he "doesn't know" Wikileaks because he finally realizes State Secrets are a bigger story than Hilary's emails. The definition of a pathological liar is someone who's blatant disregard for the truth disqualifies them in their own minds from caring or even knowing if what they say is true. Anyone who can support such a piece of shit just because they may agree with some of the things he does politically is a sorry-ass excuse for a human.

The bigger picture is: THIS THREAD IS ABOUT TRUMP in case you're too busy looking up links about Obama and Clinton to support your opinions. Spew that.

Seriously, "you lived through it, so you know it all..." That pretty much sums up your argument for everything

"I know what I know!" that's a winning argument every time.

OK here is a some FACTS I found in just 20 minuets unlike where you got this.

(People who make money without working and producing are leeches and there are a lot more rich leeches than there are welfare queens and the drain they impose is much more harmful to the rest of us.)

economic growth highest in a decade.
GDP highest in a decade
unemployment lowest in a in a decade
renegotiating poor trade deals that have let the trade deficit get out of control.
make NATO members pay what the deal states they should.
trying to fix a leaky border and stupid immigration policy's.
trying to stop crazy crap like sanctuary city's and the catch and release.

i dont care about stupid crap like ( he cheats on golf ) I want results and so far that is happening. whether it continues is yet to be seen. now if the dems. would do what they said they would before trump like adding more border wall (look it up) just shows them to be hypocrites and resist at all costs.

Also you calling him a raciest because he calls out SOME of the illegals like MS13 members names for what they are does not make him a raciest but a realest.
