SU HIF44 carb. This is a Rover 2200 HIF6 (HIF44) carb part number AUD631. This is the same basic carb that came with the Phoenix SU conversion except it only has a single fuel inlet (and obviously the dashpot has not been lowered) . It's in very good condition mechanically (i.e. the butterfly spindle has no discernible wear, and the piston moves freely) Carbs like this are getting harder and harder to find now, and the prices are creeping up. I bought this as a spare, but realistically I don't think I'll ever use it, so offering for spares or repair. It needs a new float and needle valve plus all seals. I will put it on EBay in the new year, but thought it may be of use to someone here, so offering it for what I paid - £75 + postage
With the price of petrol these days, these carbs can pay for themselves pretty quickly as they are very economical. For a negotiable fee I could machine the dashpot and damper piston if required, and I have some bits that could be used to make a manifold, but would need welding.
