Gary Thwates on Dave Watsons 1000cc laying it in to the hairpin at mallory park and wining the 1300cc national race in UK (with JS pistons/rods & cam).

He went down on another bike in the 500cc race and rang his bell - "he won't be wearing these leathers and crash hat again."

Only a single front disc! What opposition did he best? No 160hp "Egli Vincent" or 1150cc Honda [750]/4 type entries?

What other kind of 1000 cc Norton is there ? .

Has he been a two stroker ? ( clutch / finger ) . Safer on a track , anyway . No 4 x 4s and other obstacles .

Peter Williams only used to run one disc...but it was always said that he broke more gearboxes until he solved that problem.

Jim if you want to see what Gary is racing against look for Rustys link Sports-pics or DJG photography. You will find them in the spectators area after each meeting.

Cormac is the man, the races with Gary are a joy to watch. Total comitment. Homeslice will be out with them soon.
