Please keep us posted about how the lower link works for you!

Immediately noticeable improvement. The small amount of springiness that I always figured was likely due to swingarm flex is gone. Even tiny inputs on the bars get a response now. I should have done this long ago. Jim

JIm welcome to the tri-linked isolastic Commando wonder world. Wait till ya get confident with warmed tire traction on hi powered chicanes. Norton should of done this from the get go [plus adj. iso's] but then hardly any of us could afford em. To rate the benefit of each link disable em in various combo's. Your 2 lower links are almost in same plane and on far side of iso's in relation to the headsteady, but still may find the 2 lower links may about eliminate need of top link but for the nice isolation it give from the fork road and wind jiggles. With your racing sense and infusing your butt with your wonder steed you may notice various influences are plainly separated that once thought to be from something else but wasn't, as you already mentioning the beginnings of the heavenly discoveries. Oh yeah test how slow hands off stability is and then again when new tires for you next long adventure. If nut case like me try working up to crossing side curbs and cement car park stops and small logs and large rocks by 'striking' them on more and more deceasing diagonals till about parallel. I grantee that's teach not to think the fork really steers a cycle. You're an off roader to know what I'm describing, so also suggest you try you tri-link where you prior wimped out on dirt bikes. Wouldn't be as hard on the Commando as blown over a ledge landing upside down.

Alright, y'got the juices flowing now. Between yours and Steve's input, I think this might have to happen this winter. I'd very much like to incorporate the front helper spring in addition to the links. 'Guess it's time to get out the welder and McMaster-Carr catalog.
