Piero,

Simple.

Remove #41. Buy new nut and washer, #43, #42. Drill hole in blanking plate, #47, to fit 41. Fasten 41 into 47 with 2 nuts and 2 washers. Glue if wanted. Attach short rubber hose on 41 now in blanking plate. Buy Ducatti breather valve. Install Ducatti valve in rubber hose from 41. Add rubber hose to Ducatti valve to reach top of oil tank. Block hole left by removing 41.

If you can afford the Jim Comstock breather it would probably work better.

I would still drill a hole below oil pump no matter what you do (recommended by Jim Comstock).

Hi Pierodn,

My Commando is a 1971 with the breather on the left side of the engine. I'm going to get Jim Comnoz's breather which replaces the sump plug under the engine. Put the hose off the old breather onto it and screw a bolt in to seal up the old breather. I'm not going to drill any holes and can put it all back to original if I want to.

Graeme

Dear Graeme,
Thanks for your explanation.
I ask you, please, help.
I understand that you mount a new breather by Jim Comnoz no no hole and closing vent breather.
Please, could you explain to me where you'll ride the new breather to Jim?, if I understand correctly the mounts in place of the sump plug ( the sump plug means The SUMP FILTER BODY NM16945??) but we can get easily? but then mounted a tube that goes to the oil tank?.
Thank you very much.

Ciao.
