Interesting, On Motorcycle of Dulles, BMW touts themselves as the longest, but doesn't mention Mv who is also sold there. https://www.motorcyclesofdulles.com/warranty-roadside-assistance/

The MV site is down, but I see a news article elsewhere where that starting this year they have a 5-year warranty on some models. So, that needs to be Norton's target IMHO. Especially since Norton has built a bad name in that area (yes, I know it's a different company).

When I nearly bought a Mv superveloce 2 years ago it was a 5 year warranty also then.

I agree, Norton needs to also up the game and match or better their current warranty to at least 5 years unlimited miles.

I'm sure that Norton would be able to sell modern classics here in the US, just as Triumph and others do. Of course, their announced line doesn't contain any modern classics yet. They will have to find dealers who can afford to carry another, as yet unproven brand in their shop in these difficult times for motorcycle dealers. These dealers have always existed, and exist today.

How do you convince dealers?
You put bikes into the hands of the motorcycle media. Get them road/track tested. Make sure the tests go well. I'm assuming of course that the product will be comparable to the competition in performance, and reliability. Then you have to hope that the bikes capture the imagination of the target audience. Advertise your stuff, so people know that your brand exists.

I'm interested to see the pricing on the new models. This is an area where TVS/Norton can shoot themselves in the foot if they are not careful.
 
At my age, ? , I'd like to have Nortons version of triumphs bonneville. A reliable large cc , "in appearance " retro machine for the more mature amongst us. I wouldn't give the atlas to the bin men ! Could the Indian population not come up with a reasonably priced tank and seat for the 961 for those who don't want a crotch rocket appearance . The 961 tank ruins the bike for myself ! Bring back the old days ! Roy.

If Norton do a new Commando some day, they should take a lesson from Triumph's new Bonneville and Speed Twin.
Great classic appearance, power and torque, and as reliable as a cast iron stove.
Enough to warm a geezer's heart.:D

Not all the oem come out to this show (North America motorcycle show) very few, it’s more shops for all kinds of motorcycles and dealers of oem, bikes on display for show and see if they get a prize at end of show. Good to buy stuff needed for new ride season. I think it’s around the valentine day weekend at the embridge center at the ex that has a new oem model show and not all manufactures show up. That’s the show for new 2026 bikes
 
Norton’s principle concern will be getting traction with the new bikes in the UK/ Europe, and India I guess - Asia being the biggest volume market out there. They’ll be hoping the Atlas is well received there to start generating some volume. Pricepoint for the Atlas will be key

I think release in the US will be less important until later in the piece - maybe even when they have further bikes in the line-up; including retro offerings maybe. Not going to be independent dealers obviously, so no doubt they’ll target the multi dealer networks in some way.

Interesting that Papa Surf identified that Norton ‘dominated the advertising’ at the Milan show. Likely they’ll focus heavily on such targeted advertising in the US prior to starting export. Don’t believe Norton will have a brand recognition problem amongst those prospective buyers of the premium, larger capacity bikes.

The factory bean counters have had enough time to develop pricing strategy.

Ya, and if over $25k USD then close this thread since they have no place in the world IMHO! At $25k that's a premium over the special edition Triumph Speed Triple which is already way expensive for what you get and 10K over most 1200cc Triumphs.

If you don’t think the Manx and Manx R are going to be in the $35-50k USD. I’m sorry.
No way a all carbon body, carbon wheels, all billet aluminum bits is going to be $25k or less

IMHO, they simply will not sell in the US at $35+ unless they sell them in dealers handing cars like Maserati, Farrari, Bugatti, etc. they certain won't fetch that money in motorcycle dealers where BMW, Triumph, Ducati, etc. are the expensive brands! And, when you consider the tariffs I'm to sure a Farrari buyer would even look at one.

BTW, I was having Fiberglas side covers made for Roadsters. The company was willing to make them in Carbon Fiber for 10% more. But every sample they made had at least one flaw and when you have carbon fiber as the finish a flaw stands out. Maybe Norton can make flawless Carbon Fiber but if painted who gives a crap and if not painted, they better be REALLY good at it!

The Front of the MANX fairing holds up the intake "horns". A little camouflage to disguise what Norton did originally on the V4CR. Not attractive at all. Also the droopy eye headlight structure all nakeds use - not loving it.
