I can see the black one is a lovely Mark3, the blue has a drum front brake so pre 72?

looks like a very nice pare of Commandos having fun with their good friends!

The blue Norton is a 1969 Commando. It was originally an "S" model with the 2 exhaust pipes high on the left side, but I like the Roadster style better, hence the 1970+ style pipes.

Blue one is a 69/70 model, see the halo headlamp and the key in the side of the panel. He's got the decals on right too.

Nice pair.

Swoosh Dave,

A timely topic. Rather than fight NYC highway traffic just to get a current inspection sticker, I went to a local Yamaha Suzuki shop. The owner brought my bike into the work bay. I asked him to put the bike on the center stand rather than the side stand, and he told me " I do inspections all the time. What are you worried about?" Then he asked "Where is the key?" I told him it was on the side of the bike. He took it out of the ignition switch and tried to put it in the fork lock. After I corrected him on that he fiddled with every switch until he found the right ones for the lights and horn. To his credit he did not ask about signal lights.

I see your two Norton's and raise you three.

This is our Sunday morning Brit Bike Breakfast that one of the local guys got started a few weeks ago. This was yesterday. After a breakfast, there is a ride around the local area for those interested. This is in Davidson, NC for anyone else interested. We may be putting a moving target on the location week to week in the future to get some others involved.

Hey, how come nobody told me I have a bald spot?
