Well, in all honesty I would say that if your 850 is running well after everything that you have done to it, leave it together and go the maney cases 920 route. Left Coast Ken has mentioned the difficulties he's had with 920 motors staying together in the past. I have no actual experience with them myself, but just my 2 cents on the issue.Fast Eddie said:Indeed Mike, those billet cases are stunning, but I think I'd be happy with Maney cases at less than half the price.
So, one plan is indeed to use Maney cases and 81mm bore alloy barrels and go the 920 route.
The other would be to fit the crank, and mildly hotter cam, into my 850.
At least I've got the summer to decide!

The best thing to do with the Maney crank, is to put it in your engine before the original one breaks. Take it from someone who has had two break on him. My 650ss thirty odd years ago & the 850 in more recent memory. If you give your bike a lot of stick, then it's only a matter of time.
