Hi, we have a 1973 Commando Roadster here at the store, can anyone tell me if it is a "combat" model from the vin/engine number, the number is 209918 for both frame and motor, thanks, Dewi, 303.781.5339 x 309
209918 is within the late Combat production series so it is from 1972 (although possibly titled as '73) and very likely to be a Combat but more information about its technical specification will be needed to identify it.
Here are some items that will help identify a combat provided it hasn't been modified from factory original.
Original Amal carbs for combat are 932/19 and 932/20
Black cylinders and the space between the top fin of the cylinder and the bottom fin of the head is much less that all the other fin spacing due to .040" milled from the head to increase compression.
