thats a 25 cent piece - from the US mint most likely - with 3 more you can make a stripper jiggle a bit more :shock:

Probably the washer under the rotor nut in the primary

looks like the alternator rotor nut washer.

The ridges are a locking device, similar to the 'shakeproof' washers typically used on English bikes.
