What a mixture of opinions and ways to do different things.
Good rubbers, cheap rubbers.
Breather clamps, or hose clamp, ferrules?
Correct and original or functional parts.
Clean it or leave it road worthy.
What a great place for information and opinions we have.
Maybe in a couple of weeks it will be nice enough to start riding again.
I have 2 new tires and am good to go. Im ready.

Do you think it will ever really warm up? I understand the Great Lakes are still frozen over. It's still near freezing at night here and I'm in Dixie. We did have one warm day last week, but I was mulching. Haven't been outside much since.

It has to some time.
Last Saturday I was riding the Norton and on Monday we had 6 inches of snow.
Im done with winter.

The equinox is over for all us all.
For the southern hemisphere riders it is time to get the winter gloves and scarf out and keep the waterproofs handy.

I talked to a buddy in Chicago this afternoon and he said he didn't want to talk in the bar and it was too cold to stand outside for long. It was 65F and sunny here 300 miles south of the Windy City. Supposed to be down to 26 Friday night.

You know I almost feel sorry for you ice-heads... I've been doing some night shifts lately & I almost had to put on a long sleeve T shirt one night last week when it got all the way down to 60'f at 4:00am here in So-Cal.. You guys do get beautiful 4 season weather that we really don't get but then again, we have night surfing, girls in bikinis at midnight, we ride all year long etc. oh ya we have ten times more people then we should all using "MY" roads, high prices for everything and did I mention smog, traffic & tourists who think just because everyone came here trying to be in the movies that we all hang out with their chosen starlet.??

^^ And also a fire season, potentially huge earthquakes, and houses that fall into the Pacific.

I guess we all got good stuff and bad stuff.

Well earthquakes that do damage aren't as common as they would have you think, I'll take them over hurricanes & tornadoes any day. And anyone who's house could fall in the Pacific ocean deserves it!! Our coastal areas have all been taken over by the stupidly rich anyway.

49ºf in volcano hawaii this morning, 10º warmer at noon. in 35 years here, never seen weather like this.

Yesterday it was + 20 C in the sun on my back deck ... with 4 - 5 feet of snow on the ground ... twice that on road side ... come on spring ... Please ... it will be great after the flooding ...

We actually had an earthquake last night, or so they say. I didnt feel it. All of 2.9 and didnt feel a thing. They said it was only a couple of miles from the house.
Big news here though.

For some weirdreason, the Pacific NW went directly from Fall to Spring. It was already 62 F when we took the dogs out for their morning walk at 09:15. We haven't seen any snow in Anacortes, and the depth in the Cascade mountains is only about 20% of normal. Two of the ski areas below 3500' have never opened and the higher ones are on restricted schedules.

It's a pity I don't have a bike to ride in conditions this pleasant, but at 73, I'm getting past it. I haven't ridden on the street since we came to the US in 1968, after I left N-V.

It has been very cold this winter here in NYC, but we didn’t get as much snow as last year. We sent all of our snow to Boston this year. I’m beginning to get bike fever as temps start to head upwards here. I would love to have endless summer here, like in Cali.
The cold has turned our roads and highways into Moonscapes. There are potholes and missing pavement sections everywhere. We had a biker killed last week when his front wheel entered a deep rut in the road that immediately stopped, and flipped the bike.

It's just as bad for us here in the UK at the moment, it just starts to look like improving and getting a bit warmer and then turns to s**t again!

I spent two days in Apollo Bay Western Victoria, last weekend. The weather was superb, there were kids in the water. The Harley riders were out in strength on the Great Ocean Road. It is really good to see them enjoying life. For the last few years, it has still been fairly hot at this time of year. The last couple of mornings in Benalla have been cold (16 degrees C) , and it is a welcome relief. I still cannot afford a practise day to test my bike, however I will get there eventually. Things are starting to look a bit better. I still believe we will needlessly have a serious recession in Australia.

Highs in the mid 80s tomorrow in the south SF Bay area and no earthquakes at all in the forecast. Looks like perfect weather for the All British Clubmans show in San Jose Saturday.

I rode clear into mid-November last year, which is totally unheard of around here. Well, I'm paying for it now; I've been able to ride to work for six whole days this month, and March usually is pretty rideable. It's supposed to be 67'F this afternoon, but, when I have frost on the car's windshield in the morning, the bike stays in the garage.

Two friends of mine Tony Cording and Dan Smith are headed your way. They are bringing along a Matchless V4 Silverhawk and a replica Velocette Roarer which Dan built every piece of in his basement ( including the Supercharger)

The Roarer is something to behold.
Both bikes will be on display at the show.

In 30 years of New Hampshire living I've seen colder winter, and snowier winters. But I don't think I've ever seen one this cold, snowy, and LONG  I sure do miss Al Gore and global warming
